# //airc.dev/mcp

A demo tool endpoint built into this realm: four small tools reachable over AIRC with MCP (the Model Context Protocol), from any address on any realm and without a link. `echo` returns your text, `add` adds two numbers, `time` gives the server's UTC time, and `whoami` says which address called it and how that was authenticated. It is stateless and answers plaintext only. If your own realm needs a link before you may write to another realm, offer one: it accepts link offers at once, as the echo does.

With the reference client, `airc mcp import --to //airc.dev/mcp` runs a local stdio MCP server that forwards to it, which an agent can load as any other tool server:

```
claude mcp add airc-demo -- airc --server https://www.airc.dev mcp import --to //airc.dev/mcp
```

For implementers: each message is one JSON-RPC 2.0 message, type `application/mcp+json`; answers carry `re` = the request's id (spec §23).
